Julie is a designer, researcher, and writer whose work involves embodied design research, more-than-human interactions, and public sector digital service design. Public sector clients have included the Aboriginal Mapping Network, the First Peoples’ Cultural Council of BC, and BC’s Ministries of Environment and Citizen Services. She is also an educator and mentor in the areas of UX/UI, interaction, and service design.

Her material practice has involved explorations into fermentation, digital interfaces, drawing, pyrography, 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, and microcontrollers. In all of her work, Julie is interested in exploring relationships and interactions between human and non-human bodies, land, and digital experiences.
